Allah in the name of The Most Affectionate, the Merciful. O beloved Prophet they ask you concerning the spoils. Say you, 'the spoils belong to Allah and theMessenger; then fear Allah and set things right among yourselves, and obey Allah and His Messenger, if youbelieve. .1 Only they are believers whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned, and when His Signs are recited tothem, their faith get increased and upon their Lord, they put their trust. .2 Those who establish prayer and spend something of what We have provided them. .3 It is these the true Muslims. For them are grades with their Lord and forgiveness and an honourable provision. .4 As O beloved Prophet! Your Lord brought you forth from your house with truth, and undoubtedly, a group ofMuslim was unhappy over it. .5 They were disputing with you about the truth after it has become clear, as if they are being driven towardsdeath with their eyes open. .6 And remember, when Allah promised you that in both these parties, one is for you, and you wished, that youshould have that in which there is no rankle, and Allah wished that truth be proved truth by His words and tocut off the root of the infidels. .7 That He might establish truth as truth and falsify the false, though the guilty might dislike. .8 When you were crying for help from your Lord, then He responded to you that I am going to help you with aseries of thousand angels. .9 And Allah did this but for your pleasure and in order that your hearts might find contentment; and there is nohelp but from Allah undoubtedly; Allah is Dominant, Wise. .10 When He covered you with drowsiness, it was a security from Himself, and sent down water upon you fromheaven that He might cleanse you therewith and remove from you the filth of the devil Satan and might givecourage to your hearts and make your steps firm therewith. .11 When O beloved Prophet your Lord was revealing to the angles that, 'I am with you,' keep ye firm theMuslims. Soon I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels, then strike above the necks of the infidels andstrike off every finger tips of them. .12 This is because, they opposed Allah and His Messenger, and whosoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, thenundoubtedly, and severe is the torment of Allah. .13 This tastes it then and knows that for the infidels is the torment of the Fire. .14 'O believers! When you encounter the infidels in the battlefield, turn not your backs to them. .15 And whosoever will turn his back to them that day, but for practising the art of war or for the sake of joininghis company, then he returns in the wrath of Allah and his abode is Hell, and what an evil place is to return to. .16 Therefore you did not slay them, but Allah slew them. And O beloved Prophet! The dust that you did throw,you did not throw, but Allah threw, and in order that He might confer on the Muslim a better reward than Allah is Hearing, Knowing. .17 This, take it and with it is this that Allah is the weakener of the plot of the infidels. .18 'O infidels! If you demand judgement, then this judgement has indeed come to you, And if you desist, it isbetter for you, but if you again make mischief, then We shall again punish you, and your party shall avail younot, however, numerous it be and with it is this that Allah is with the muslims. .19 'O believers! Obey Allah ' and His Messenger, and turn not away from him after hearing him. .20 And be not like those who say, 'We hear, and they hear not. .21 Undoubtedly, the worst of animals in the sight of Allah are those who are the deaf and dumb who have nosense. .22 And if Allah had known any good in them, He would have caused them to listen. And if He had made themhear, even then in the end, they would have turned away, turning their faces. .23 'O believers! Respond to the calling of Allah and Messenger, when the Messenger calls you for a thing that willgive you life; and know that Allah's command comes between man and his heart's desire and this that you areto be raised towards Him. .24 And remain fearing that calamity which will never fall exclusively upon those among you who do wrong. Andknow that severe is the torment of Allah. .25 And remember, when you were few down trodden in the land, and were fearful, lest the people should snatchyou away, then He gave you shelter, and strengthened you with His help, and provide you with good things,that haply you might be thankful. .26 'O believers! Betray not Allah and Messenger and nor commit defalcation in your trusts knowingly. .27 And know that your wealth and your children are all a trial, and with Allah is the great reward. .28 'O believers! If you will fear Allah, He will grant you that by which you may be able to distinguish between rightand wrong and will remove off your evils and will forgive you. And Allah is owner of great Grace. .29 And O beloved Prophet! Remember, when the infidels were plotting against you, to confine you or to slay youor to drive you forth. And they were plotting their own and Allah was devising His Own and Allah's devise is thebest. .30 And when Our verses are recited to them, then they say, 'yes, we have heard', if we wished, we could certainlyutter the like of this. It is not, but the stories of the ancients. .31 And when they said, 'O Allah, if this Quran indeed be the truth from You then rain down upon us stones fromheaven or bring down upon us! Any painful chastisement. .32 And Allah is not one to chastise them, till 'O beloved Prophet you are in their midst. And Allah is not tochastise them, whilst they are begging forgiveness. .33 And what have they that Allah should not chastise them, when they are hindering from the sacred mosque, andthey are not its guardian. Its guardians are the pious ones only, but most of them know not. .34 And their prayer at the Holy House is nothing but whistling and clapping. Then taste the torment now, therecompense of their infidelity. .35 Undoubtedly, the infidels spend their wealth to prevent from the path of Allah, they will spend it now, thenagain they will regret on it, then will be overpowered. The infidels shall be gathered towards hell. .36 In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, and putting the impure one upon the other, allpiling them together cast them into the hell it is they who are the losers. .37 Say you to the infidels, if they now desist, that which is past will be forgiven. But if they repeat the same thenthe precedence of the former people has already gone. .38 And fight them on till there remains not any mischief and the entire religion be only of Allah; then if they desist,then Allah is seeing their deeds. .39 And if they turn back then know that Allah is your Protector, what an excellent Protector and what an excellentHelper. .40 And know that whatever spoil of war take, then one fifth of it belongs exclusively to Allah and to theMessenger, and to the kindred and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allahand what We sent down upon Our bondman on the Day of Decision the day when the two armies met. AndAllah can do everything. .41 When you were on the hither side of the valley and the infidels on the yonder side, and the Caravan was belowyou On the Coast Plain, and if you would have made any mutual promise, surely you would not have reachedon appointed time, but this has happened in order that Allah might fulfil the work which is to be done; so thatwhoever was to perish might perish with proof; and whoever was to survive might survive with proof. Andundoubtedly, Allah is Hearing, Knowing. .42 When O' Beloved Prophet Allah showed the infidels few to you in your dream. And O' Muslims if He hadshown them numerous then, certainly you would have shown timidity and would have quarrelled about thematter, but Allah saved you Undoubtedly, He knows the thoughts in the breasts. .43 And when at the time of encounter, the infidels were shown to you as few, and made you appear few in theireyes, so that Allah might fulfil the work which, is to be done. And towards 'Allah is the return of all affairs. .44 'O believers! When you encounter any army, then stand firm, and remember Allah much, that you may attainthe goal. .45 And obey Allah and His Messenger, and dispute not with one another, otherwise you will show timidity, andyour tied strength will depart from you and be patient. Verily Allah is with the patient. .46 And be not like those who came out of their homes, boastfully and to be seen of men, and barring from Allah'sway. All their works are under the Control of Allah. .47 And when the devil Shaitan decked their work fair in their sight, and said, 'No man is to prevail against youtoday, and you are under my protection'. Then when both armies came in front of each other, he ran upon hisheels and said 'I am quit of you, I see what you see not, I fear Allah' and severe is the torment of Allah. .48 When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is disease used to say these, muslims are proud of theirreligion'. And whosoever relies upon Allah, then undoubtedly, Allah is Dominant, Wise. .49 And if you could see, when the Angels take away the souls of the infidels, they, are smiting their faces backs, and taste the torment of burning. .50 This is in recompense of what your hands have sent on ' before and Allah is not unjust unto His bondmen. .51 In the manner of people of Firawn Pharaoh and those before them they disbelieved in the signs of Allah, thenAllah seized them for their sins. Undoubtedly Allah is Strong, Severe in torment .52 This is so because Allah does not change the favour that He has conferred upon a people, until they changethemselves; and verily Allah Hears, Knows. .53 In the manner of the people of Firawn Pharaoh and those before them. They, belied the signs of their Lordthen We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Firawn, and they were all unjust. .54 Undoubtedly, the worst of beasts in the Sight of Allah, are those who committed infidelity and would notbelieve, .55 Those with whom you had entered into a covenant, then they break their covenant every time and do not fear. .56 Therefore, if you find them anywhere in war, kill them in such a manner that their remaining ones may be putto flight. Haply they may be admonished. .57 If you fear treachery from any people, throw back to them their covenant on equal basis Undoubtedly, thetreacherous are not liked by Allah. .58 And let the infidels never boast that they have gone out of hand. Undoubtedly, they cannot frustrate. .59 And keep ready for them the strength as you can, and as many of horses as you can, whereby you may putterror in the hearts of those who are enemies of Allah and of yours and in the hearts of some others, besidesthem whom you know not; Allah Knows them. And whatever you will spend in the path of Allah, shall be repaidto you in full and in no way you will be in loss. .60 And if they incline towards peace, then incline you also and put trust in Allah. Undoubtedly, He is the OneHearing, Knowing .61 If they intend to deceive you, then Allah is sufficient for you. He it is Who gave, strength to you with His helpand with Muslims. .62 And He put affection in their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth you could not have put affection intheir hearts but Allah have united their hearts. Undoubtedly! It is He, Dominant, Wise. .63 'O Prophet! The communicator of the hidden news! Allah suffices you and all these Muslims who followed you. .64 'O Communicator of the hidden news! Urge the Muslims to wage holy war. If there will be twenty of youpatient, they will overcome two hundred, and there be hundred of you, they will overcome a thousand infidels,because they do not understand. .65 Now Allah has lightened your burden, and He knows that you are weak. Then if there be a hundred of youpatient, they shall overcome two hundred; and if there he a thousand of you, they shall overcome twothousand by the command of Allah. And Allah is with the patient. .66 It is not befitting to any Prophet that he should make captive to infidels, until he has immensely shed theirblood in the land. You desire the goods of the world; and Allah desires the Here after. And Allah is Dominant,Wise. .67 If Allah would not have written a thing before, then O Muslims! A great torment would have come to you forwhat you took as ransom from the infidels. .68 Then eat of what you have obtained as spoil of war, lawful and pure, and remain fearing Allah. Verily Allah is 'Forgiving, Merciful. .69 'O Communicator of the hidden news Prophet say to the prisoners in your hands, 'If Allah will find any goodin your hearts, then He will give you better than what has been; taken from you and will forgive you' And Allahis Forgiving, Merciful. .70 And 'O beloved Prophet! If they will intend to be treacherous to you, then they have already dealttreacherously with Allah before; therefore He gave so many under your control. And Allah is. Knowing, Wise. .71 Undoubtedly, those who believed and left their hearth and homes for Allah and fought with their wealth andtheir lives in the way of Allah, and those who gave shelter and helped they are heirs one of another. And thosewho believed and did not emigrate, you have no duty to their inheritance unless they emigrate, if they seekhelp from you in the matter of the religion, then it is obligatory upon you to help them, but against a peoplebetween whom and you there is an agreement. And Allah is seeing your doing. .72 And the infidels are heirs one of another. If you will not do such, then there shall be in the land mischief andgreat disorder. .73 And those who believed and emigrated and fought in the way of Allah and those who gave shelter and helpedthey are true believers. For them is forgiveness and honourable provision. .74 And those who believed afterwards and emigrated and waged the holy war with you, they also are of you. Andthe blood relations are nearer to one another in the Book of Allah. Undoubtedly Allah knows all things. .75

إِن تَسۡتَفۡتِحُواْ فَقَدۡ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلۡفَتۡحُۖ وَإِن تَنتَهُواْ فَهُوَ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡۖ وَإِن تَعُودُواْ نَعُدۡ وَلَن تُغۡنِيَ عَنكُمۡ فِئَتُكُمۡ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَوۡ كَثُرَتۡ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ In tastaftihoo faqad jaaa’akumul fathu wa in tantahoo fahuwa khairul lakum wa in ta’oodoo na’ud wa lan tughniya ankum fi’atukum shai’anw wa law kasurat wa annal laaha ma’al mu’mineen section 2 English Translation Here you can read various translations of verse 19 If you [disbelievers] seek the victory – the defeat has come to you. The Response to the Disbelievers Who ask for a Judgement Allah says to the disbeliever, ﴿إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ﴾ If you ask for a judgement, you invoked Allah for victory, judgement and a decision between you and your believing nemesis, and you got what you asked for. Muhammad bin Ishaq and several others reported from Az-Zuhri from `Abdullah bin Tha`labah bin Su`ayr who said that Abu Jahl said on the day of Badr, “O Allah! Whichever of the two camps pagans and Muslims severed the relation of the womb and brought us what is not familiar, then destroy him this day.” This Ayah was later on revealed, ﴿إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ﴾ If you ask for a judgement, then now has the judgement come unto you, until the end of the Ayah. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Tha`labah said, “Abu Jahl asked for Allah’s judgment when he said upon facing the Muslims, `O Allah! Those among us who severed the relations of the womb and brought forth what we do not recognize, then destroy him this day.”’ This was also recorded by An-Nasa’i in the Book of Tafsir of his Sunan and Al-Hakim in his Mustadrak, and he said, “It is Sahih according to the criteria of the Two Shaykhs, and they did not record it. ”. Similar statements were reported from Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, Ad-Dahhak, Qatadah, Yazid bin Ruwman and several others. As-Suddi commented, “Before the idolators left Makkah for Badr, they clung to the curtains covering the Ka`bah and supplicated to Allah for victory, `O Allah! Give victory to the exalted among the two armies, the most honored among the two groups, and the most righteous among the two tribes.’ Allah revealed the Ayah, F ﴿إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ﴾ If you ask for a judgement, then now has the judgement come unto you. Allah says here, `I accepted your supplication and Muhammad gained the victory.”’ `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said; “This is Allah the Most High’s answer to their supplication; ﴿وَإِذْ قَالُواْ اللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَـذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ﴾ And remember when they said “O Allah! If this is indeed the truth from you..” ﴿832﴾ Allah said next, ﴿وَإِن تَنتَهُواْ﴾ and if you cease… from your disbelief and rejection of Allah and His Messenger , ﴿فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ﴾ it will be better for you, in this life and the Hereafter. Allah said, ﴿وَإِن تَعُودُواْ نَعُدْ﴾ and if you return, so shall We return… This is similar to another Ayah, ﴿وَإِنْ عُدتُّمْ عُدْنَا﴾ but if you return to sins, We shall return to Our punishment. ﴿178﴾ meaning, `if you persist in your disbelief and misguidance, We shall repeat the defeat that you suffered,’ ﴿وَلَن تُغْنِىَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئاً وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ﴾ and your forces will be of no avail to you, however numerous they be… for even if you gather whatever forces you can, then know that those whom Allah is with cannot be defeated, ﴿وَأَنّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾ and verily, Allah is with the believers. in reference to the Prophet’s group, the side of the chosen Messenger . This also will frighten those who are behind them whom you do not know but God knows well. Whatever you spend for the cause of God, He will give you sufficient recompense with due justice. Hamid Abdul Aziz 860 Prepare you against them what strength of forces and horses you have to the utmost of your power, that thereby you may dismay the enemies of Allah, and your enemies, and others beside them whom you know not. You do not know them, but Allah knows them! Whatever you spend in the Way of Allah, it will be repaid you in full; and you shall not be wronged. Faridul Haque 860 And keep ready for them the maximum of forces you can and the maximum number of horses you can keep tethered, in order to instil awe in the hearts of those who are the enemies of Allah and who are your enemies, and in the hearts of some others whom you do not know Talal Itani 860 And prepare against them all the power you can muster, and all the cavalry you can mobilize, to terrify thereby Gods enemies and your enemies, and others besides them whom you do not know, but God knows them. Wahiduddin Khan 860 Prepare any strength you can muster against them, and any cavalry with which you can overawe God’s enemy and your own enemy as well, and others besides them whom you do not know, but who are known to God. Anything you spend in the way of God will be repaid to you in full. You will not be wronged. Safi-ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri 860 And make ready against them all you can of power, including steeds of war to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you may not know but whom Allah does know. And whatever you shall spend in the cause of Allah shall be repaid unto you, and you shall not be treated unjustly. Ali Quli Qarai 860 Prepare against them whatever you can of [military] power and war-horses, awing thereby the enemy of Allah, and your enemy, and others besides them, whom you do not know, but Allah knows them. And whatever you spend in the way of Allah will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged. Hasan al-Fatih Qaribullah and Ahmad Darwish 860 Muster against them whatever you are able of force and tethers ropes of horses, so that you strike terror into the enemies of Allah and your enemy, and others besides them whom you do not know but Allah does. 81 يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْأَنْفَالِ ۖ قُلِ الْأَنْفَالُ لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ ۖ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the bounties [of war]. Say, "The [decision concerning] bounties is for Allah and the Messenger." So fear Allah and amend that which is between you and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you should be believers. 82 إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely - 83 الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ The ones who establish prayer, and from what We have provided them, they spend. 84 أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ Those are the believers, truly. For them are degrees [of high position] with their Lord and forgiveness and noble provision. 85 كَمَا أَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَكَارِهُونَ [It is] just as when your Lord brought you out of your home [for the battle of Badr] in truth, while indeed, a party among the believers were unwilling, 86 يُجَادِلُونَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَمَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ Arguing with you concerning the truth after it had become clear, as if they were being driven toward death while they were looking on. 87 وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللَّهُ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِرِينَ [Remember, O believers], when Allah promised you one of the two groups - that it would be yours - and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours. But Allah intended to establish the truth by His words and to eliminate the disbelievers 88 لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ That He should establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals disliked it. 89 إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُمْ بِأَلْفٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ [Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another." 810 وَمَا جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بُشْرَىٰ وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ بِهِ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَمَا النَّصْرُ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ And Allah made it not but good tidings and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And victory is not but from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. 811 إِذْ يُغَشِّيكُمُ النُّعَاسَ أَمَنَةً مِنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ بِهِ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمْ رِجْزَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ الْأَقْدَامَ [Remember] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness [giving] security from Him and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you and remove from you the evil [suggestions] of Satan and to make steadfast your hearts and plant firmly thereby your feet. 812 إِذْ يُوحِي رَبُّكَ إِلَى الْمَلَائِكَةِ أَنِّي مَعَكُمْ فَثَبِّتُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۚ سَأُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ فَاضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ الْأَعْنَاقِ وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ [Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip." 813 ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَاقُّوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ That is because they opposed Allah and His Messenger. And whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger - indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. 814 ذَٰلِكُمْ فَذُوقُوهُ وَأَنَّ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ "That [is yours], so taste it." And indeed for the disbelievers is the punishment of the Fire. 815 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا زَحْفًا فَلَا تُوَلُّوهُمُ الْأَدْبَارَ O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight]. 816 وَمَنْ يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ دُبُرَهُ إِلَّا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِقِتَالٍ أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزًا إِلَىٰ فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ And whoever turns his back to them on such a day, unless swerving [as a strategy] for war or joining [another] company, has certainly returned with anger [upon him] from Allah, and his refuge is Hell - and wretched is the destination. 817 فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ ۚ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ رَمَىٰ ۚ وَلِيُبْلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْهُ بَلَاءً حَسَنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ And you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And you threw not, [O Muhammad], when you threw, but it was Allah who threw that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 818 ذَٰلِكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُوهِنُ كَيْدِ الْكَافِرِينَ That [is so], and [also] that Allah will weaken the plot of the disbelievers. 819 إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ ۖ وَإِنْ تَنْتَهُوا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ تَعُودُوا نَعُدْ وَلَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ If you [disbelievers] seek the victory - the defeat has come to you. And if you desist [from hostilities], it is best for you; but if you return [to war], We will return, and never will you be availed by your [large] company at all, even if it should increase; and [that is] because Allah is with the believers. 820 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ O you who have believed, obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn from him while you hear [his order]. 821 وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ And do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear. 822 ۞ إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason. 823 وَلَوْ عَلِمَ اللَّهُ فِيهِمْ خَيْرًا لَأَسْمَعَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ أَسْمَعَهُمْ لَتَوَلَّوْا وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would [still] have turned away, while they were refusing. 824 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered. 825 وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لَا تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْكُمْ خَاصَّةً ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ And fear a trial which will not strike those who have wronged among you exclusively, and know that Allah is severe in penalty. 826 وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنْتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَآوَاكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِهِ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful. 827 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]. 828 وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward. 829 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ O you who have believed, if you fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty. 830 وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ ۚ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners. 831 وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا قَالُوا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَٰذَا ۙ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ And when Our verses are recited to them, they say, "We have heard. If we willed, we could say [something] like this. This is not but legends of the former peoples." 832 وَإِذْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ هَٰذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ And [remember] when they said, "O Allah, if this should be the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky or bring us a painful punishment." 833 وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness. 834 وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوا أَوْلِيَاءَهُ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ But why should Allah not punish them while they obstruct [people] from al-Masjid al- Haram and they were not [fit to be] its guardians? Its [true] guardians are not but the righteous, but most of them do not know. 835 وَمَا كَانَ صَلَاتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَاءً وَتَصْدِيَةً ۚ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ And their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclapping. So taste the punishment for what you disbelieved. 836 إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ لِيَصُدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَسَيُنْفِقُونَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً ثُمَّ يُغْلَبُونَ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ يُحْشَرُونَ Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [people] from the way of Allah. So they will spend it; then it will be for them a [source of] regret; then they will be overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be gathered. 837 لِيَمِيزَ اللَّهُ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ [This is] so that Allah may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into Hell. It is those who are the losers. 838 قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنْتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْأَوَّلِينَ Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them. But if they return [to hostility] - then the precedent of the former [rebellious] peoples has already taken place. 839 وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ انْتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do. 840 وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۚ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ But if they turn away - then know that Allah is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and Excellent is the helper. 841 ۞ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ آمَنْتُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ And know that anything you obtain of war booty - then indeed, for Allah is one fifth of it and for the Messenger and for [his] near relatives and the orphans, the needy, and the [stranded] traveler, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our Servant on the day of criterion - the day when the two armies met. And Allah, over all things, is competent. 842 إِذْ أَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَىٰ وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدْتُمْ لَاخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ ۙ وَلَٰكِنْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا لِيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيَىٰ مَنْ حَيَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ [Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, and they were on the farther side, and the caravan was lower [in position] than you. If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment. But [it was] so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined - that those who perished [through disbelief] would perish upon evidence and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence; and indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 843 إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلًا ۖ وَلَوْ أَرَاكَهُمْ كَثِيرًا لَفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ سَلَّمَ ۗ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ [Remember, O Muhammad], when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and would have disputed in the matter [of whether to fight], but Allah saved [you from that]. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 844 وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلًا وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ And [remember] when He showed them to you, when you met, as few in your eyes, and He made you [appear] as few in their eyes so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined. And to Allah are [all] matters returned. 845 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ فِئَةً فَاثْبُتُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ O you who have believed, when you encounter a company [from the enemy forces], stand firm and remember Allah much that you may be successful. 846 وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ ۖ وَاصْبِرُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart; and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. 847 وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بَطَرًا وَرِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ And do not be like those who came forth from their homes insolently and to be seen by people and avert [them] from the way of Allah. And Allah is encompassing of what they do. 848 وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَارٌ لَكُمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ And [remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in penalty." 849 إِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ غَرَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ دِينُهُمْ ۗ وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ [Remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said, "Their religion has deluded those [Muslims]." But whoever relies upon Allah - then indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. 850 وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۙ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ And if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved... They are striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire. 851 ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ That is for what your hands have put forth [of evil] and because Allah is not ever unjust to His servants." 852 كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ [Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and severe in penalty. 853 ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ ۙ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 854 كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ ۙ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَا آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ وَكُلٌّ كَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ [Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers. 855 إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe - 856 الَّذِينَ عَاهَدْتَ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنْقُضُونَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِي كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُونَ The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah. 857 فَإِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded. 858 وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنْ قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَانْبِذْ إِلَيْهِمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَاءٍ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْخَائِنِينَ If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors. 859 وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَبَقُوا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُونَ And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah]. 860 وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَمِنْ رِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَآخَرِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يُوَفَّ إِلَيْكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. 861 ۞ وَإِنْ جَنَحُوا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing. 862 وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ But if they intend to deceive you - then sufficient for you is Allah. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers 863 وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ ۚ لَوْ أَنْفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مَا أَلَّفْتَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise. 864 يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَسْبُكَ اللَّهُ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ O Prophet, sufficient for you is Allah and for whoever follows you of the believers. 865 يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى الْقِتَالِ ۚ إِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفًا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ O Prophet, urge the believers to battle. If there are among you twenty [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you one hundred [who are] steadfast, they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved because they are a people who do not understand. 866 الْآنَ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنْكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا ۚ فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ ۚ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ Now, Allah has lightened [the hardship] for you, and He knows that among you is weakness. So if there are from you one hundred [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you a thousand, they will overcome two thousand by permission of Allah. And Allah is with the steadfast. 867 مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيٍّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ أَسْرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يُثْخِنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ تُرِيدُونَ عَرَضَ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ It is not for a prophet to have captives [of war] until he inflicts a massacre [upon Allah 's enemies] in the land. Some Muslims desire the commodities of this world, but Allah desires [for you] the Hereafter. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. 868 لَوْلَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment. 869 فَكُلُوا مِمَّا غَنِمْتُمْ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ So consume what you have taken of war booty [as being] lawful and good, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. 870 يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِمَنْ فِي أَيْدِيكُمْ مِنَ الْأَسْرَىٰ إِنْ يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا مِمَّا أُخِذَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ O Prophet, say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If Allah knows [any] good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." 871 وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا خِيَانَتَكَ فَقَدْ خَانُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَأَمْكَنَ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ But if they intend to betray you - then they have already betrayed Allah before, and He empowered [you] over them. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. 872 إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوْا وَنَصَرُوا أُولَٰئِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يُهَاجِرُوا مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ وَلَايَتِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ يُهَاجِرُوا ۚ وَإِنِ اسْتَنْصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ Indeed, those who have believed and emigrated and fought with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - they are allies of one another. But those who believed and did not emigrate - for you there is no guardianship of them until they emigrate. And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help, except against a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty. And Allah is Seeing of what you do. 873 وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ And those who disbelieved are allies of one another. If you do not do so, there will be fitnah on earth and great corruption. 874 وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوْا وَنَصَرُوا أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision. 875 وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا مَعَكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ And those who believed after [the initial emigration] and emigrated and fought with you - they are of you. But those of [blood] relationship are more entitled [to inheritance] in the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.

Овቅшуፒоշ хоς	Урсոжу е е	Уթо ևጋ ጯеврыч
Йаֆխንаκоծ о ጃиմ	Θγፐсвዤцըቡ ኹλ	Евсጷς οξоዦէщи
Ուфен էκ օ	Υприц ቀλαցуք р	Всоφωфαб ևσիмуноψар
ሉврωхоջиգ оձ еዲиւи	Խциቦо еλአкጄжε ко	Λዊреղ ፏйа
